OBDII Bluetooth Scanner Tool
Hire this Bluetooth vehicle onboard diagnostics (OBD) tool that is simple to use and can save you money diagnosing error codes and resolving them. Useful also when purchasing vehicles as it can reveal codes that have been reset etc.
Use case:
I recently purchased a 2014 i20 that had an SRS (safety restraint system) error. I plugged the tool in and within minutes* was able to confirm the issue was high driver airbag resistance and the recommended repair (replace clock spring). Then after replacing the clock spring (approx. 30 min) I used the OBD scanner to clear the error codes (approx. 5 min).
Note:
*Some Australian sold vehicles do not allow enhanced diagnostics (to access SRS/ABS etc.), however when this occurs product support provide alternative VINs to bypass the restriction. Takes approximately 2 hours after raising a support request but once you have for your vehicle it works seamlessly.
- Read & Clear Codes

For each DTC, generate a report for your vehicle containing possible causes, reported fixes, and more. - Mode 6
Advanced test results (like misfire counts) for on-board diagnostic system monitors. - Freeze Frame
Freeze Frame data is a snapshot of the vehicle when the Freeze Frame code was stored. - Smog Check
Check if the vehicle is ready for a smog or emissions test. - Live Data
Capture and share any live data supported by the vehicle. - Get the Confirmed Fix
Will match your vehicle’s make, model, and trouble code to a specific fix from a database of millions of repairs. Your Repair Report will always contain fixes that have been verified by Professional Automotive Technicians, so no more googling unreliable fixes that waste your time and money. - ENHANCED diagnostics
Reads (and clears) all the codes the other guys read and the ones they don't. Enhanced Diagnostics give you complete access to information normally only accessible to professional mechanics on their most expensive scan tools. All vehicles with an OBD2 port are required to output basic information when the Check Engine Light comes on. However, a lot of important information (such as ABS, Airbag, Climate Control, etc.) is left behind by the other scan tools. Gives the complete set of diagnostics on a wide range of manufacturers.
